The Lakeport Police Department has sworn in one new Sergeant and two new Officers:
Sarah Hardisty, a sixteen-year veteran of local law enforcement was sworn in as our newest Sergeant. She previously worked for many years as a Deputy Sheriff in Lake County as well as an Officer in Clearlake. Sarah is the first female officer to ever hold the rank of Sergeant or above in the 135 year history of the Lakeport Lakeport Police Department.
Jonatan Moreno and Austin Eldred were both sworn in as officers. Austin previously attended the police academy and had prior experience with the Ukiah Police Department. Jonatan also previously attended the police academy and had prior experience as a Correctional Deputy in Lake County.
All three of these new hires are members of the Lake County Community and we are proud they have chosen to work for our agency.
