The Parks and Building Maintenance Division provides for the operation and maintenance of Library Park and Westside Community Park, special use areas, City Hall, and the Lakeport Police Station. This Division provides administration and supervision of contract providers, and park and building maintenance staff for landscaping, grounds, and building maintenance, including electrical and plumbing repairs, vandalism repairs, painting, custodial services, and litter abatement.

BOAT RAMPS AND LAKE ACCESS

The City of Lakeport boasts terrific boat ramps and lake access on Clear Lake and the best part of is that they’re free. Lakeport has three primary points of access to Clear Lake at First, Third, and Fifth Streets.  Seven lanes of boat ramp access to Clear Lake are available at these three ramp facilities. There is well-designed turn-around, back-up, and maneuvering access for boaters and abundant free boat, trailer, and vehicle parking just steps away. No long walks between the parking area and your docked boat!

Lakeport also provides floating and mechanically-operated floats, some of which are available year-round. Another nice feature of the lake access facilities in Lakeport is the close proximity to fuel, restaurants, boating supplies, groceries, fishing supplies, overnight lodging, and camping. Lakeport has long been known as the place to put your boat in the water, whether you are a recreation boater or a professional bass fisherman.

The City of Lakeport welcomes all users of Clear Lake and supports the many bass tournaments and other lake-oriented activities that occur on the largest natural lake entirely within the State of California. The Westside Community Park is 60 acres of land set aside by the City of Lakeport. The Westside Community Park Committee leases portions of the land for development. As phases are completed the City dedicates them as parkland and assumes the administration and maintenance.
Features:  Soccer, Baseball & Softball Fields, Pump Track, Horseshoe Pits, and a Dog Park with areas for large and small dogs.
