City Manager's Report:  Updated COVID Guidelines, Transportation Survey and Lighted Holiday Decorating Contest

Updated COVID Guidelines - California
Due to the limited number of ICU beds and rising numbers of COVID-19 hospitalizations, California has introduced a new Regional Stay-at-Home order for regions where ICU capacity falls below 15%. Lake County has been placed in the Northern California Region which also includes Del Norte, Glenn, Humboldt, Lassen, Mendocino, Modoc, Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama, and Trinity counties. When the Northern California Region does hit the threshold, the Order will be in effect within 24 hours and will remain for at least three weeks; it will be evaluated each week thereafter. When regional lockdowns are lifted, counties again will be categorized by the color-coded system. For a complete listing and additional guidance please see the State’s website at California Health Officials Announce a Regional Stay at Home Order Triggered by ICU Capacity | California Governor The City of Lakeport continues to encourage its residents to be diligent, stay safe, wear masks appropriately, and wash hands. The local businesses are already struggling from this pandemic. Before ordering online, please look at the ways to shop safely and buy local. For businesses near you, please reference Business Organizations and Events (lakecountyca.gov). Outdoor recreation is additionally encouraged; Places Archive - Lake County provides a list of over 100 miles of local trails. The APC is encouraging the community to provide input on the plan and share information on social service transportation needs in Lake County.
Participation in the survey is important to help identify transportation needs and is completely voluntary. The survey is available in both English and Spanish language versions and will be accessible until December 11, 2020.
