Public Hearing & Notice of Intent to Adopt a Mitigated Negative Decalaration for Parkside Residential

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND NOTICE OF INTENT TO ADOPT A MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION
Notice is hereby given, that a public hearing will be held by the Planning Commission of the City of Lakeport on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 225 Park Street, Lakeport, California, in order to consider an application for a General Plan Amendment, Zone Change, a Planned Development Combining District, and Environmental Review for the Parkside Residential Development (“Project”).

The Project involves a modification to the previously approved Schellinger Subdivision map of 96-single family residential lots (2005). The proposed project includes a variety of entitlements to accommodate an increase in density for the construction of 48 single-family attached dwellings and 128 multifamily units within several

two-story buildings, as well as a community facility leasing office, located at 1310 Craig Avenue further described as Assessor Parcel Number (APN): 005-030-51.

City staff has reviewed and made the preliminary determination that the proposed project will not have a significant effect on the environment with supporting evidence provided in the Initial Study and that a Mitigated Negative Declaration would be appropriate for the proposed project. The Initial Study has been transmitted to interested agencies, groups, and individuals for review and comment. A 30-day public review period will commence on July 8, 2022 and end on August 8, 2022. Written comments on the environmental document must be submitted by the end of the review period.

This notice is given in order to provide all parties an opportunity to be heard and to present their views regarding this application. Application materials are on file in the office of the Lakeport Community Development Department at City Hall, 225 Park Street, and www.cityoflakeport.com, and are available for inspection by any and all persons interested therein.  You can also access the document by clicking here.
