Public Outreach Meetings: The Horse Park Needs Your Input!
The Westside Community Park Committee is moving forward in our grant application for California Prop 68 funds that are available and we need our horse community to come together in a big way. The following meetings are scheduled to allow
you to assist in designing the Horse Park and to help address requirements in the grant application.
Thursday, Sept 9th 6:00 to 8:00 - Discuss and develop a broad list of potential features and programs that could be included in the proposed horse park.
Saturday, Sept 18th 10:00 to 12:00 - Create a prioritized list of features to include in the design of the park, taking into consideration site, budget, and other constraints
Thursday, Sept 23rd 6:00 to 8:00 - Using a short list of features selected at the previous meeting, participants will create 2 to 3 plans for the park by placing to-scale pieces on a project site map, considering factors such as access, lighting, safety and circulation.
Wednesday, Oct 6th 6:00 to 8:00 - Community members select the site plan for the park from options produced at the last meeting.
All meetings will be held in the City Council Chambers at the Lakeport City Hall, 125 Park Street, Lakeport, CA 95453
