Emergency Housing Assistance Program

Emergency Housing Assistance Program

The City of Lakeport operates an emergency housing grant program for the purpose of providing small grants to low income persons within the Lakeport city limits who are in need of housing funds to respond to emergency situations or hardship conditions.

Examples of emergency situations or hardship conditions may include, but are not limited to, roof repair, window, siding, and door repair or replacement, heating and cooling system repair or replacement, plumbing and electrical system repair or replacement, and other similar repair and replacement projects.

In addition, the Emergency Housing Grant Program may provide assistance to qualified low income families who are in need of financial assistance to pay water, sewer, power, and propane utility bills which are past due and where services may be disconnected.

Eligibility for participation in the Lakeport Emergency Housing Grant Program requires low income verification, the submission of an application form by the applicant, and documentation of an emergency situation or hardship condition.

If you have any questions about this program, or would like to apply for an emergency grant, call Kevin Ingram, Community Development Director at 707-263-5613 x11, or e-mail him at kingram@cityoflakeport.com,
