What's Your Sign?
A "Sign" is anything placed, erected, constructed, posted, painted, printed, tacked, nailed, glued, stuck, carved or otherwise fastened, affixed or made visible for out-of-door advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever, on the ground or on any tree, wall, bush, post, pole, fence, building, structure or anything whatsoever.
"Sign" does not include the following:
1. Official notice issued by any court, public body or officer;

When planning on what type of sign, the number of signs, or what location you would like to have your sign, please contact the City of Lakeport’s Planning Division to review the Zoning requirements for your property. A Building permit may also be required and the Building Division will be happy to assist you with your project.
