TRAFFIC SAFETY ADVISORY FOR LAKEPORT UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
As the Lakeport Unified School District (LUSD) is starting classes Wednesday, August 11, 2021, the Lakeport Police Department (LPD) and LUSD staff is reminding all drivers to use extreme caution when traveling in the area of and on the grounds of the Lakeport schools. We expect heavier than normal vehicle and pedestrian traffic near the school grounds in the mornings and afternoons. Officers will be increasing traffic enforcement in the area. Also, please watch for students who may be waiting for buses or walking or riding bicycles to school. Lastly, remember to stop for school buses when red lights flash.
